A few weeks ago my 83yr old mam was given end of life care in hospital. After seeing one of her lenses was broke I took them to her opticians (which were you). After getting them fixed I was able to pass them to a nurse (restricted visiting). Whilst waiting for them being repaired, mam improved so the day after she got her glasses she was transferred to a care home. On Tuesday I went to have a quick visit at mams (through a window without her knowing) and it broke my heart...her new glasses had disappeared. No one could help. I was mortified n crying. So today (Thurs) I went back to the same branch and told the fabulous young lady what had happened. Obviously I cried!! Her reaction was most sincere… she helped me! She not only fixed me up with a brand new set (with chain) she did it within 15 minutes!! I cannot praise her enough. My mam will be over the moon. Thank you ❤

I could not ask for a better service than I received last Friday. The reception staff couldn’t have been more helpful. I got an appointment within three hours. The optician was brilliant and concerned and compassionate. She contacted the hospital straight away and from the optician (and I am embarrassed that I do not know her name) to being seen in DRI took just three hours. All in all it was an outstanding experience.
